Overview

Complete visual control without slowing the team down

ShopMaply's theme editor helps marketing, operations, and product teams align every locator with brand guidelines without opening a ticket for each change. Pick a structure, adjust visual tokens, test on the map, and publish when the experience is ready.

Consistent branding

Apply brand colors, typography, border radii, spacing, and map styles so the locator feels like a native part of your site.

Faster decisions

Live preview shows the impact of each change on the map, cards, filters, and selected-location modal while you edit.

Better device context

Desktop and mobile can have different panel visibility, position, and width so each screen serves its real journey.

Safer publishing

Undo, redo, local drafts, backend drafts, publish, and discard give teams room to iterate before changes go live.

Layouts and responsiveness

Ready-made structures plus viewport-specific fine tuning

Available layout templates

  • Classic Split for sidebar filters, centered map, and selected-result detail
  • Map First to emphasize proximity and map exploration
  • Directory First to prioritize the result list
  • Detail Focus to expand the selected location
  • Immersive Left for a full-screen map with left floating controls
  • Immersive Right for a full-screen map with right floating controls

Desktop and mobile layout controls

  • Switch viewport inside the visual editor
  • Drag free panels to reposition search, filters, map, results, and toolbar
  • Resize panel width and height
  • Choose fixed width in pixels or expandable width in percent
  • Hide or show panels by viewport
  • Set filters open or collapsed by default

WYSIWYG workflow

  • Map stays visible while editing
  • Pins update alongside theme changes
  • Cards, filters, modal, and buttons share the same theme variables
  • Layout changes reapply without a full page refresh
  • Local draft storage protects work in progress
How to use it

Step-by-step guide to launch a branded locator

This workflow combines the theme settings page and the public visual editor to go from default styling to a published layout.

1

Choose the locator and a base layout

Open theme settings, pick the locator you want to edit, and start from the template that best fits your journey: map-first, directory-first, or immersive.

2

Adjust brand styling

Set palette, typography, hero styling, border radii, and spacing so the public experience matches your main site or campaign.

3

Customize map and pins

Switch the map style, configure public URLs for normal and promoted pins, and validate the look directly in preview and public editor.

4

Refine desktop and mobile separately

Open the public visual editor, switch viewport, move panels, tune fixed or percent widths, and choose which elements stay visible on each screen.

5

Save draft, review, and publish

Use undo and redo, save a backend draft for review, publish when approved, or discard changes to return to the active version.

Use cases

Useful for lightweight setups and complex networks

Theme flexibility lets each company shape the locator around its own business model without rebuilding the product.

Retail and franchise networks

Highlight campaigns, flagship stores, and promoted logos with branded pins and stronger visual hierarchy.

Dealer locators and service networks

Use stronger filter layouts, denser result lists, and collapsed-by-default states to speed up partner discovery.

Healthcare, services, and hospitality

Build mobile-first experiences with immersive maps, on-demand detail panels, and cleaner local search journeys.
